A Note From Me

Hi friend, welcome in. I am so glad you are here.

If you want to know what a cozy day actually looks like around here, I will be honest with you: it is chaos. Homemade forts, barking dogs, and me grabbing the constant snacks for my kids. There is almost always a crisp energy drink from the fridge in my hand, or an iced coffee, and the music changes day to day depending on my mood. That is the real version, not the tidy one, and I kind of love it that way.

I have always liked reading. In early elementary, my teachers commended my advanced reading levels, and I filled notebooks with made-up stories about mermaids and dolphins in magical lands. Reading assignments were my favorite homework, because I loved getting lost in a world of someone’s making, no matter what I was actually going through. That feeling is still the whole reason I write.

If you asked me why cozy romance, and not something faster or darker, I would tell you about growing up watching a lot of Hallmark movies with my mom. They were always so comforting, even though we made fun of how they almost always followed the same equation. I loved them anyway, and I watched intently. That is what these books feel like to me: a cozy place that, although it might be predictable, is a place I will always choose to go for that warm, fuzzy feeling.

The moment the idea for this story came to me, I just knew it was one I wanted to share. So here it is. Pour yourself something cozy, look around, and stay a little while.

With all my thanks, Gabriella
